Part of the [`xcode`](/reference/configurations/xcode/) configuration, at the `recommended` [level](/start/concepts/#levels). It runs at the `commit` [stage](/start/concepts/#stage), once per scope. gspot runs this check itself.

## Why

A string with no translation shows its source language in the middle of a translated screen.

## What to do

Add the translation, or mark the string as not translated in the catalog.

## Example

A catalog string that lacks a required locale reports a finding. Add the translation, or mark the string as not translated.

## Turn it off

Turn it off for some files, with a reason:

```
