# vue/vue-tsc

> Type-checks every Vue component and TypeScript file of the scope with the strict compiler options.

Type-checks every Vue component and TypeScript file of the scope with the strict compiler options.

Part of the [`vue`](/reference/configurations/vue/) configuration, at the `recommended` [level](/start/concepts/#levels). It runs at the `push` [stage](/start/concepts/#stage), once per scope. It runs vue-tsc.

## Why

tsc cannot parse a component file, so a type error inside one ships unless vue-tsc catches it.

## What to do

Fix the first error vue-tsc prints; later errors often come from the same mistake.

## Example

`const count: number = 'one';` in a component script reports an incompatible assignment. Assign a number, such as `const count: number = 1;`.

## Turn it off

Turn it off for some files, with a reason:

```shell
gspot ignore vue/vue-tsc --paths "<glob>" --reason "<why>"
```
