Requires strict in every tsconfig you write. Level all also requires noUncheckedIndexedAccess, exactOptionalPropertyTypes, noImplicitOverride, noFallthroughCasesInSwitch, noImplicitReturns, and noPropertyAccessFromIndexSignature.

Part of the [`typescript`](/reference/configurations/typescript/) configuration, at the `recommended` [level](/start/concepts/#levels). It runs at the `commit` [stage](/start/concepts/#stage), per file. gspot runs this check itself.

## Why

One tsconfig that drops strict lets untyped code back in for that whole scope.

## What to do

Turn on the reported compiler option in your tsconfig.

## Example

A tsconfig with `strict` set to `false` reports a finding. Set `strict` to `true`, and fix the new type errors.

## Turn it off

Turn it off for some files, with a reason:

```shell
gspot ignore typescript/tsconfig --paths "<glob>" --reason "<why>"
```
