Compares the sitemap with the built pages, and reports a listed route with no page or a page left out.

Part of the [`site`](/reference/configurations/site/) configuration, at the `recommended` [level](/start/concepts/#levels). It runs at the `push` [stage](/start/concepts/#stage), once per scope. gspot runs this check itself. It needs a build of the project.

## Why

Search engines find an unlisted page late, and a listed route with nothing behind it costs their trust.

## What to do

Add the page to the sitemap, remove the dead URL, or leave a page out under site.allowed\_unlisted\_pages.

## Example

A sitemap URL for `/removed/` with no built page reports a stale route. Remove it from the sitemap source, and rebuild.

## Turn it off

Turn it off for some files, with a reason:
