gspot/unmatched-patterns
Checks settings path patterns against tracked files.
Part of the gspot configuration, at the recommended level. It runs at the commit stage, once for the repository. gspot runs this check itself.
An ignore or declaration that matches nothing misleads the next reader.
What to do
Section titled “What to do”Remove the record or correct its path.
Example
Section titled “Example”An [[ignore]] record with paths = ["nowhere/**"] that matches no file reports unmatched-pattern. Remove the record, or correct its path and keep the reason.
Turn it off
Section titled “Turn it off”Turn it off for some files, with a reason:
gspot ignore gspot/unmatched-patterns --paths "<glob>" --reason "<why>"
