css/stylelint
Lints every stylesheet with the standard stylelint rules: unknown properties, overridden selectors, and invalid values.
Part of the css configuration, at the recommended level. It runs at the commit stage, per file. It runs stylelint. gspot check --fix fixes what it can.
A browser silently skips a declaration it cannot parse, so a typo in a property ships as a missing style.
What to do
Section titled “What to do”Run gspot check --fix for the rules that fix themselves. Turn one rule off with gspot ignore css/stylelint --rule <name> --reason "<why>".
Example
Section titled “Example”The declaration color: #ggg holds an invalid hex value and reports a finding. Replace it with a valid one such as #abc.
Turn it off
Section titled “Turn it off”Turn it off for some files, or one of its lint rules, with a reason:
gspot ignore css/stylelint --paths "<glob>" --reason "<why>"gspot ignore css/stylelint --rule <rule> --reason "<why>"To silence one place, write a comment such as:
/* stylelint-disable-next-line declaration-no-important -- the vendor widget sets its own color */
